Mr. G raves is an ex perienced je w e le r from Des Moines, Iowa, who has decided to m ake Med ford his home. On Monday m orning o f this week, W. J. Crane o f P o rtlan d drove his C hrysler coach into the local C hrys ler garage w ith fo u r glasses o f the top broken o u t and a le ft fen d er badly bent. Mr. C rane le ft his car parked in th e G ran ts Pass park in w hat he th o u g h t was a safe place and, upon hs re tu rn found th e car on its side in the Rogue river. In some unaccountable m an n er it slid over the 30-foot em bankm ent into the river, tu rn in g over th ree times. A fte r g ettin g the car out, filling the gas tank with gas and straig h ten in g the fender w ith his hands, he succeed ed in driving it to M edford w here he le ft it fo r rep airs. F o rtu n a te ly th ere was nobody in the c a r when it w ent over and he considered him self very lucky to g et o ff with no m ore dam age than was done. B errian o f M edford, while hunting, cam e upon d e e r track s th a t appeared to be w alking sideways. He followed th e tra c k s and soon came upon two huge Bucks b a ttlin g with th e ir horns interlocked. Upon his approach th ey sep arated and le ft in d iffe re n t directions. H owever, Mr. B errian succeeded in shooting both through th e neck, killing each in stan tly . Ray Evanson is th e new chief ra n g e r of C ra te r Lake n atio n al park, his a p p o in tm en t having been con firm ed by S tephen M ather, d irecto r o f th e n atio n al p a rk service. Mr. Evenson tak es the place o f R oger W elles, who resigned six weeks ago and re tu rn e d east. E. M. T ucker, a fte r an absence of several y ears has re tu rn e d to Med ford from C alifornia and opened a g arag e in the new M edford A uto com pany building on N orth R iver side. Mr. T u ck er believes M edford to b eth e m ost logical place on the P acific highw ay fo r a service garage. The firs t Fall m eeting o f th e M ed ford m in isters was held last week a t which th e follow ing o fficers w ere elec ted : P resid en t, Dr. W. H. E a to n ; vice p resid en t, Dr. J . P.
