Prohibitionists may ridicule the opin ion of these eminent lawyers, but any one who will take the trouble to con sult a lawyer can easily determine the exact status ot the Medford charter and satisfy himself beyond the peradven- ture o f a doubt that that burg is very apt to remain wet, whatever the out come of the election may be. Nowitbstanding the security of Med ford from any probability of drouth, the citizens are making a most strenuous effort to carry the county wet, believing that prohibition throughout the county would mean a most serious setback to the splendid prosperity that seems just now to be in the ascendancy.
