Moro Woman’g Club Wild, Goose v A capture of a wild goose under odd circumstances was staged at Moro last Friday evening when a wild goose dropped from the sky to perch in the center of main street in front of Hotel Moro. A number ran to grab the bird, but Donald Burnett made it captive. At first it was thought the goose had been injured by contact witb' an electric light wire, but} this was proven to be wrong. The „ bird had been flying low about town for some time before it perched in the street and had been seen by several just a few feet above the power line poles. The only reason for its landing where it did was thought to have been that the goose had become weary of con tinued blind flying in the thick blanket of fog, hod lost its bearings and its mates and took the only way out of its troubles. Following the custom which they have followed for a number of y ea n past, the management of the Farmers Elevator & Supply Co. will'again this year donate a Christmas tree to all who want to have a^(ree in their homes this Christmas. J. C. McKean, manager of the company, wants it known that no one need buy a tree because these trees will be given free to all who want one. At least that is the intention and 200 trees will be on hand the morning of December 15 for free distribution. Mr. McKean states that the trees will be here before that day,- but to give all an even chance to make a choice of just what kind of tree they may desire, none will be given away until December 15.
