Moro Woman’g Club Wild, Goose

A capture of a wild goose under

last Friday evening when a wild goose
dropped from the sky to perch in
the center of main street in front of
Hotel Moro. A number ran to grab
the bird, but Donald Burnett made it
captive.
At first it was thought the goose
had been injured by contact witb' an
electric light wire, but} this was proven
to be wrong. The „ bird had been
flying low about town for some time
before it perched in the street and
had been seen by several just a few
feet above the power line poles. The
only reason for its landing where it
did was thought to have been that
the goose had become weary of con
tinued blind flying in the thick blanket
of fog, hod lost its bearings and its
mates and took the only way out of
its troubles.
