Walker, manager of New Moro Hotel, lived with his parents and the even ing of Mr. Cannon’s arrival was spent in bringing many reminiscent periods back to memory. Wilber Woods, from Lewiston, Ida ho, was visiting in Moro Tuesday. He expected to continue his trip to Portland before returning to Idaho. He brought word of an auto accident that occurred on a mountain grade IB miles south east of Lewiston last Sun day, one of the victims being Blaine Hansell who formerly lived at Moro A party of four was going down the grade on low compression when the steering gear refused to work at a sharp turn. One of the occupants jumped at the turn when warned by the driver of the car. Another was thrown clear when the car turned over, Blaine fell through the car roof on the second turn over, while the driver was thrown out on the third. The car was demolished when it. hit rock 200 feet down the mountain side. The injuries to the men are not expected to result seriously. If you hays a news item, tell it to the Observer. Sheriff Hugh Crisman was a G ill iam county visitor last Saturday where he went for the purpose of ap prising W. H. Callaway that the last Sherman county grand jury had re turned an indictment against him for misappropriation of school funds when he was clerk of Gorman district. This wss the first news Mr. Callaway had of the legal proceedings and he lost no time in coming to Moro and securing bondsmen for his appearance at the next term of court. ©• IfN Wait for Dr. Freexe, if you need eye service. Trips each month to Moro and other towns. M E M O R IIJ V 1 Otis Wesley Dillinger, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Dillinger, was born in Gilmore, Washington, June 4th, 1902 , and died at the home of his psrents near DeMoss, Oregon, November 24th, 1920. . Wesley was born in the parsonage in Gilmore where his father was serv ing his first pastorate. His home has been with his parents, they living two years each at Gilmore, Belmont, and Centerville and one year in The Dalles. The past twelve years his home has been in Sherman county. He was an industrious young man; successful at farxping, but being of a mechanical turn of .mind was not sat isfied on the farm so had laid aside his earnings that he might attend the auto school in Portland. Hie plana were all made to go in a few weeks and it must have been a disappoint ment to him for his mind dwelt much upon auto repairing and in his delir iums he would talk of his work. He united with the Methodist church when a small boy and held his mem bership in the Moro Methodist church at the time of hi* death. He leave» to mourn their loea: hia parent», tv#o brother*, Joyce and Everett, and one slater, Laura, of the immediate fam ily beindes other relative* and many friend*. Funeral services were held Friday morning, November 25th, from the Methodist church, conduetvd by Rav. H. H. Mile« and Rev. E. E.
