Mr. and Mrs. Art Christianson returned this week from Salt Lake city to care for grandchild ren while their daughter Diane had some serious surgery from which she is recovering nicely. On their arrival they learned that her brother, J. H. Kelso of Aber deen, Washington had a heart at tack and they went to visit him. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Pinkerton left Sunday for Portland to at tend the annual convention of the Oregon Farm Bureau federation to which he was chosen a dele gate. They returned Wednesday evening. Here to visit their brother and brother in law and family, Mr. and Mrs. Garls Pieckert are Mr. and Mrs. Ed Westemeyer of Min nesota. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Balsiger took care of son Edwin’s two children last week end while Ed and wife attended the incollegi- ate war at Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. George Reidesel of Stillwater, Minnesota are vis- iting Rev. and Mrs. Ernest Good- enbetger for a few days while on their way to winter quarter The women are cousins. Thanksgiving holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harper were Mr. and Mrs. Leland Anderson, Pamela and Debbie of Salem, and Mr. and Mrs C. W. Walker of The Dalles. The Thanksgiving Eve services hehl at the Wasco Methodist church with the Rev. Goodenber ger of Moro in the pulpit was well attended and very much en joyed by all present. Eleven members of the Junior American Legion Auxiliary of the Frank E. Brown Unit No. 91 at Wasco met Friday at the I^egion hall, with Mrs. Keith McDonald, junior activities chairman, In charge. Mrs. McDonald was as sisted by Mrs. Frank Reifsnlder. Officers were elected as follows: Alison Walker, Jr. Chairman; Linda Van Gilder, Jr. Vice-chair man; Margaret O’Meara, Jr. secre tary and historian: Susan Van Gilder, Jr. treasurer and Sandra Foss, chaplain. Other officers are l’aula Walker, sergeant at arms; Sharon Nlsbet, Debbie VanGilder, Jeanney Welk and Ellen Nlsbet, color bearers and guards. Mrs. Sam Alberty, Mrs Grigg's mother of Moro. Harlandview Grange will change its meeting dates during the months of December, lanuary, and February because of the bas ketball season. Meetings will be held the first and third Mondays during the winter.
