Some Places There Are Grasshoppers; Can Be Killed Some areas throughout the state have been reporting excessive damage from grasshoppers. A few people have reported some minor damage to yards and flowers here in Sherman County. No heavy infestation of grasshoppers has been reported to date. Grasshoppers can be controlled by the use of several chemicals which are available from local feed, seed or fertilizer dealers. Chemicals recommended are Al- drin. Dieldrin, Heptachlor, Toxa- phene and Malathion. Malathion is most desirable to use around the flowers and yards and In vege table crops.
