PAGE 3 SHERMAN COUNT! Moro Personals Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis Black and children were here last Friday until Sunday to visit her parents Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Pinkerton. A pre-Thanksgiving dinner was held at the elder Pinkerton’s home. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Powell w’ere up from Portland last week end to visit their ranch near Moro. Friends of Mollie McLachlan met at the church last Friday even ing to give her a farewell party prior to her removal to Portland. The grange was original sponsor although many helped make the party a success. During her resi dence in Moro Mrs. McLachlan has been helpful to everyone here and she will be missed, was said many times at her party. She has long been head of the American Legion auxiliary unit here. Kaseberg of Wasco at the West minster Presbyterian church in Portland on the afternoon of November 30. Miss Woods has been busy at tending showers given by her friends since the eighth of the month when sisters at the Kappa Kappa Gamma house at Corvallis held a spice and recipe shower in her honor. Mrs. Harold Halley was sponsor for a linen shower, Nov. 11 at the Moro church, Joan Ja?ger gave a surprise shower and brunch in honor of the bride to lx?. Mrs. learner Sayrs and Mrs. Mike Mullck were hostesses last Saturday at a kitchen shower. Latest social function honoring Miss Woods was the shower giv en by Mrs. Irving Hart, Mrs. Charles Burnet and Mrs. Orlow Martin Thursday. Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nishet were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde 'Fridley and children, Mr. and Mrs. D. McConaughy of Kent, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene McConaughy and children and Wes Porter who were visiting here over the week end from Portland. Annie Fulton Chapter OES held a regular meeting Nov. 11. Mem bers were present from The Dalles and Moro to welcome Mrs. Rose Rueppell, who was initiated that evening. There was a report on the district meeting in Moro and other visitations made by mem bers through the month. The next regular meeting will be held on December 9. Mrs. John Robinson was honor ed Sunday on the occasion of her birthday when a group of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Royse for a potluck dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sargent have just returned from a six weeks trip, during which they spent a few days in Washington, D. C. and visited relatives around Rochester and Olean, New York. From there they visited Mr. Sar gent’s sister in Montreal, Quebec and his brother in Moose Jaw.
