Women from all over the county gathered to visit and watch the opening of many appropriate gifts and lunch on coffee and cake. The cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. ClaraiKc Spencer of Wlisco, being appropriately decorated with a bassinet, stork, liootees, etc. Mrs. Shirley Woods will lie the new service agent for crop insur ance in Sherman county and those with complaints or problems re garding their crop insurance may call her home where he well keep an office. Mrs. Woods will not be responsible for sales. Her address is Moro. Mr .and Mrs. Collis Moore and Mrs. Anna Moore returned I'ues- day from their trip to Pasadent and Long Reach to visit relatives over the holiday and, just inci- dently, to see the Oregon-Ohio game in the Rose Bowl. Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Sayrs, af ter attending the annual meeting of the Mid-Columbia Production Credit assiciation in The Dalles Saturday will leave for Arizona to spend a few’ weeks around Mesa where the sun shines and the cold does not penetrate. A driver’s license examiner will l>e at the courthouse in Moro on Wednesday. January 15 between the hours of nine and four. Sherman county merchants w’ill be solicited for advertising in the 1958 Husky by members of the high school annual staff some time next week. Roy Justesen is here again after a stay of several years in Calif ornia and says he will remain. He expects to sell cars for I rness of The Dalles. Wily Knighten Jr. returned to La Grande and his studies at Eastern Oregon College of Educa tion after spending the latter part of his vacation in Moro. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tuggle spent Christmas eve and < av at the home of Mrs. Frances Sutter and daughters, Fran es, and Annette, in Tacoma, where the rest of the family joined them. The Tuggles returned Christmas night to Olym pia where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scribner and daugh ters. In returning home they stop ped at the Frank Lahmann home at Carson, Wn., and brought their nephew, Bob, back to Wasco for a visit. New Years eve and day the Frank Lahmanns were guests at the Tuggle ranch and the Tug gles took Boh hack to Carson on Saturday.
