B a lre r. * The latest meeting of the South Sherman P-T A held out hope for a stronger organization with enthusiastic hacking for a definite goal. Amick who came up from The Dalles Friday. Other guests in cluded Mr and Mrs Guy Kruger of Portland. Mr and Mys Roy Hogue and daughter of The Dal les, Mr.and Mrs Marcus Eslinger and daughters, Alice and Rosalie and Larry Bauer. Mr and Mrs Jack Jefferies ot Kent had dinner guests Wed nesday evening honoring the fourth birthday anniversary of their daughter, Bonnie. Guests were Mr and Mre Bill Jefferies and family and Mr and Mrs Carl Schadewitz and son, John. The members of the American I^egion auxiliary met at the Le gion hall in Kent Wednesday, Nov. 8, with eight present MYs Robert Tatum, vice-president, was in charge of the meeting in the absence of Mrs Harry Young M rsC J Kulick was elected sec retary. Gifts were brought •for the Gift Shop in the Veteran’s hospital in Portland. Anyone not bringing a gift may do so at the next meeting for which Mrs Ed Alley will be hostess. Refresh ments of - cookies and tea were served by Mrs »Ted vonBorttel as hostess. Some of the members went to Moro after the meeting to give blood to the blood bank. Mr and Mrs Arzell Lemley went to Portland Friday on busi ness. They stayed over night with their parents, Mr and Mrs Charles Ijemley in Gresham and came home Saturday.
