Gearhart went down later in the week. Mrs. Tommie Jones returned Monday from Portland where she went to see her husband who is getting along very well after his throat operation. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Kaseberg and Patricia returned the first of the week from a trip into Canada taking Patricia to a na tional Delta Gamma convention at Banff. Marilyn Wise remained for a short visit with the Kasebergs. The Kasebergs were in Bend this weekend at tending a wedding of a sorority sister of Patricia’s, she being a bridesmaid at the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Becket were over from Heppner last Saturday as guests of the Ro bersons and all attended the dance at Grass Valley. Merrill Oveson and G. B. Then he aat on the porch, and watched Handy Peterson cutting Ws grass. The Roberta’ property and the Peterson’s border each other — with no hedge or fence between them. So, when Easy notice^ Handy had left about a four-foot strip unmowed along the boundary, he walks over and asks why. “That’s your land,** says Handy. “Mine ends here. See, it lines up with that oak tree across the road!” Easy didn’t think ao, ao they went up and down looking for Corvallis from their homes in Pendleton. Both are connected with the Soil Conservation Ser vice. J. B. Adams was in Moro Tuesday at the McKean hornet Tuesday while on his way home to Portland from Dayville where he had been on business. Mrs. Flora McDonald was a visitor at the McKean home last week end coming from Cor vallis where she works for the college. Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Holman were in the county Tuesday to look after her holdings here. She was originally Bessie Wat kins and he Is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Holman. Helen Morrison is a patient in the Veteran’s Hospital in Portland having a knee repaired. Mrs. Darwin Van Gilder was in Portland Tuesday on a brief shopping tour. Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Collis Moore went to Pendleton last week end to visit the Raymond Ramings.
