Balzer Mrs Myrl Smith gave a party at the city park Wednes day afternoon' August 11 in honor of her son. Lowell, who celebrated his second birthday anniversary. Those „present in cluded his grandparents. Mr and Mrs Del Kakin of The Dalles, Mrs Ernest Eslinger, Mrs Ernie Woods and daughter Christie, and Mrs Donald Martin and children Donnie and Marcia all of Moro Mrs T. Lester Johnson and son from Wasco. Mrs Ivan Blagg and children Kenneth and Curt, Mrs Charles Perrigo and daugh ters, Linda and Leslie, Mrs El ton Eakin and sons. Rose Ed wards, Mrs Harold Eakin and children Harry Dean, Tommie and Mauna Faye, Ina May Zieg ler with Terry Eakin, Mrs Ver non Eakin and sons, Mrs Clyde Strariley and sons. Mrs Donald vonBorstel and daughter, Mrs Ross Fields, and daughter and Mrs Marcus Eslinger and dau ghters. and Mrs John Reckman and children. The tables were set under the trees in the park and a birthday cake for I>owell and one for Christie Woods whose birthday was the same day was the center of attraction and was served with ice cream and punch. The children all re ceived balloons as favors. Little Ixiwell had plenty of help to open his gift packages. Mr and Mrs Owen Eakin and son Terry were visitors at the home of Mr and Mrs Myrl Smith Sunday. Mr and Mrs Otto Hill, Mrs Lelia Showers, Mrs Hattie Don aldson and Miss Edna Rolfe left Saturday fo r. their , respective homes in Onalaska and LaFarge, Wisconsin after spending sever al weeks here visiting their brother and sister in law, Mr and Mrs T. M. Rolfe. Mr and Mrs C. W. Fields left Saturday for Pendleton to visit their son and daughter in law, Mr and Mrs Leighton Fields and th e new grandson, Michael Wayne. On their way home Sun day they stopped in Hermiston to visit Mr and Mrs I. D. Pike. Mr and Mrs Henry Jaeger of Condon were callers at the home of Mr and Mrs Fred Cox Sunday. Mr and Mrs Claud Bayer and Keith Bayer motored to Sheridan Sunday - for extras for the combine returning home Mon day. They visited at the home of tligir uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs Milo Elliott. Mr and Mrs Joe Ritner and Don Cox were visitors in Condon __ >unda afternoon. M1 Charlotte McDonald re turned to her home in The Dal les Friday after spending several weeks with her sister Mrs Har ry Stark. Mr and Mrs Roy Wells of Mc Minnville were visitors at the T. M. Rolfe home Sunday. Mrs Wells will remain a week here with her parents. The Masonic lodge conducted graveside services for Joe Gregg, who died at Redmond and was buried at Kent Sunday afternoon. Mr and Mrs James Earl have as their guests her brother and wife, Mr and Mrs E. C. Mor gan and her sister, Mrs F. L. Woods and son, Billy, all from Seattle who arrived Monday and will stay until Wednesday. Mr and Mrs James Earl and son, Don, and her brother, R. M. Morgan were Sunday guests at the home of Mr and Mrs Sam Stark. Mrs W. D. Baniett and Mrs Olan Stark speht Saturday in Portland on business. Mr and Mrs Harold Owens went to John Day to spend the weekend with Bill Shanley. Dr. and Mrs Earl Kalland, president of the Western Baptist Theological Seminary in Portland came Monday and were over night guests of Mr and Mrs Fred Cox. Mr and Mrs W. C. Schilling and daughter, * Linda Rae, of Cottage Grove w e r e dinner guests at the home of his par ents, Mr and Mrs W. F. Schilling Monday. They went on to Moro to visit relatives and to take their daughter, I>avelle. home with them Wednesday after spending several weeks here and at Moro visiting relatives. Mrs Louie Daviis went to' Cor vallis Thursday to spend a week visiting her grand daugther, Mrs A1 Roberts and family. Wayne Kelly brought Mrs Kelly home Sunday from Oregon City w hite she spent several days attending the Centennial. Mr and Mrs Charles Lemley have sold their home near Port land and so far have not decid ed where they will locate. Bill E.
