Tax Collector for Sherman County, ¡State of Oregon, on the 24th
day of A pril, 1941, will issue -to said Sherman County, State of Ore­
gon, a deed covering each of the hereinafter described real properties
all .being located in Sherman County, State of Oregon, unless such
properties be redeemed ¡before the said April 24, 1941, from a tax fore-
■ closure sale to said Sherman County, Oregon, made on the 22nd day of
April, 1940, pursuant to a Judgment and Decree of the Circuit Court of
the S tate of Oregon, made and entered on the 21st day of December,
1939, and an Order of Sale of the Circuit Court of the State of Ore­
gon, made and entered on th e 22nd day of April, 1940, foreclosing cer­
tain certificates of delinquency heretofore issued against said prop­
erties; and
T h at on the execution of such deed to said Sherman County,
Oregon, as adoresaid, each and all of said properties not so redeeded
w ¡11 be forever worfeited to said Sherrhan County, Oregon, and all
rights of redemption whatsoever will term inate and expire; and

foreclosure, a description of each of the several properties on which
the period of redemption is about to expire, and the total amount

Of all the early vegetables th at
are appearing in the m arkets the
pink stalks of rhubarb seem to
most every one the best of the
spring tonics. Rhubarb is classed
in food value along with greens
of all kinds, although it is gener­
ally used in menus as a fruit. T art
sauce or a juicy pie are favorites
with us all, but these are only two
of the many ways to use rhubarb.
We suggest trying Rhubarb Sher­
bet for a truly delicious dessert or
a Rhubarb Roll, equally good when
served hot with cream.
Rhubard Sherbet
Five cups rhubarb, finely cut
Two cups crushed pineapple
One cup of sugar
One and three fourths cups crefem
Cook rhubarb and pineapple until
rhuljanb is tender. Add sugar.
Stir until sugar is completely dis­
solved. Press through a sieve.
There should be one quart of pulp
and sirup. Chill, then add to the
cream. Turn into cold freezing
tray and freeze.
Rhubard Roll
Three cups diced rhubarb
One cup of w ater
Three fourth cups sugar
Two cups flour
One half teaspoon salt
Four tap baking powder
One third cup butter
Two thirds cup milk
One beaten egg
Slightly sweeten rhubarb. Make
sirup of w ater and sugar in 8-inch
souare pan; cook 5 minutes. Make
biscuit dough of rem aining ingre­
dients. Roll to one third inch in
thickness, spread with rhubarb:
roll. Cut in 1-inch slices; place in
hot sirup. Bake in hot oven (459
