Dora M illard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Millard 'and George Jensen were m arried at Stevenson, W ashington July 9 and will live a t the Millard farm where George is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Granna, their son Marion, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Siscel called Sunday at the home of C. N. Howell to visit. M:e. Granna and H arold’s m other, later in the day, visited . their father, Chas. Siscel before returning to Portland. The special services given at the Christian church for harvesters were well attended. Recognition was given George Kaseberg and W. D. W atkins for full attendance . of their harvest crews including cooks, by presenting them with watermelons. Miss Cascada Dunn from Den, ver, Colorado was a guest, of Mrs. E. Siscel Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tilbert B arnett spent itfhe week end a t the home of the form er’s fath er and son Lafe B arnett and Dean before retu rn ing again to their Portland home. Mrs. W. M. B arnett paid a ivsit to Goldendale for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hinkle of The Dalles were visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Hildenbrand and family. , A new combine has been in op eration on the Archie Gosson farm . Wednesday m orning it turned over but the men jumped to safety. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Dutton of Fossil were business visitors in The Dalles Monday returning Tuesday a fte r spending the night in Wasco. Mrs. Grant Arm sworthy visited her dauhgter Norma in The Dalles for several days and Mr. A rm s worthy motored down T ues'/iy to bring her home. Fred F ortner came home last week and he and Mrs. Fontner drove to Arlington Sunday. Visitors recently at the Ed Dut ton home were Mrs. Charles Gore of Sunnyside, Waftfiington and her son and daughter. A grass fire caused some damage to the house owned by Mrs. Sarah S ta’.cup Tuesday hut the fire was put out before the house was en tirely destroyed. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Howell of Seaside are visitors df Mr. and Mrs. E verett McQuillen a t the Wasco Cafe. In the absence of Rev. Bruce from The Dalles ME church, Rev. F. L. Cannell officiated a t the reg ular morning session in that place. Zethel Ba’nett, Dorothy, Donna and Jessie Knox attended the show in The Dailey Sunday evening.
