Ferrel Barr and Donald Burnet were hunting in the Ukiah country last week but report no luck. The Keystone class will meet at the L- L- Peets home Sunday night. Dis cussion will be on the subject of “Dictatorship- ’’ Lamer Sayrs was injured Friday morning while working for the gov ernment in a forest road camp in the mountains. Ho fell across a log and hurt his back and hips so that he will remain in a hospital for several days- Vic Barr and Elmer Barsee were home over the week end from their government work in the forestry camps. Bart Burrel has been hunting in the mountains east of here for a few days. L. L- Peets is still working on his wood pile in the woods west of Friend. Mr and Mrs C. E Deleau, of San Francisco, spent a few days here on business this week. Mrs. J- C. Freeman and her sister, Mrs. J. J. Jeffery, accompanied by Neal Freeman, are visiting in Van couver with another sister, Mrs- W. T. Barnett this week. Mrs Jeffery is he from St- Josph. Mo. Roy Powell has rented the Meloy place near Erskine and will farm it Ralph Brisbine was in The Dalles Wednesday to have a set of x-ray pictures taken of his injured back. Art Barnum shipped a carload of cows to Portland Saturday night and Chas. Bebhee shipped a car of mixed stock at the same time. They looked in on the stock show while in the city.
