NEWSY ITEM 3 FROM TOWN AND COUNTY Picked up Here and There by the Globe's -:- Reportorlal 8taff. -:- Wm. Looncy renewed subscription to the Globe week. his this 1 Franklin Brown was in town on Tuesday from his home on Rock Creek. John Weimar of Clem is among those lately renewing their subscription to the Globe. Wm. Langhausvn returned on Saturday evening from Midvale Idaho. He thinks that is a good country and will return accomp anied by his wife and father. They wish to dispose of their household goods and have an ad in this istua to that effect. J. J. Ffhrenbncher was in this city Tuesday and while here re newed his subscription to the Globe. Mrs. Miller and daughter of Spokune who have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Weinke left yesterday morn ing for their home. Mrs. Weinke accompanied them and will visit in Spokane a month. Mrs. W. J. Lima of Athena was in this city the latter part of last week and was registered at the Oregon. At the dish drawing contest this week held at the Hunt Hardware Co's. store, Nat Scott of Lone Rock received , find prize, a full set of dishes, Mrs. J. R. Wells was awarded second, a suirar bowl, and Mrs. Wil McPherson took third, receiving a cream pitcher. The Pine Ridge and Trail Fork base ball teams crossed bats on the Lost Valley diamond last Sun day. The game resulted in i victory for the Ridgers. Frank White returned Tues day from Portland where he has been spending the last week or two. Chas. Underwood and wife returned Tuesday evening from week's visit in Portland am other Oregon points. Burden and sister Ethel Adlard, are visiting friends on Rock Creek this week. Miss Lizzie Palmer was 'a Condon visitor last week. Wanted.
