Mr. Williams holds twodiplomaH from the state of Orison, one being a upe.cil certificate of examination. He also holds three diplomas from eastern colk'Kes of Opto metry. He is a member of the Oregon Jewelers Association, of the ( trcgon State Association of Optometrists, of the American Association of Opticians, of Am-rican National Hetail Jewel ers Association of which he has held the Kwition of Second Vice president for the past two years, beiiik' elected each time by ac clamation. He has been selec ted twice by the jewelers of Ore gon as their representative to the eastern conventions. These I annual displays qf the agricultur al products, livestock and house hold industries, have done much to promote the interest in all these lines in this county. C. J. Quinn, president, and G. B. Dukek, secretary and treas urer, of the Gilliam and Wheeler Counties Grange Fair deserve much credit for the success of this new enterprise. They are hard workers, prosperous farm ers who have made Gilliam Co. their home for years and their one aim is to "boost" this coun ty and its resources in a way that will convince all-and such was the direct result of their la bors during the last Mayville Fair.
