Brandon of Wallowa, before returninir home this week nlaced his name on the fastly Increasing subscription list of The Globe. Mr. Drantlon for merlv lived in the southern part of the county and had come to look over some of the familiar haunts of twenty years ago. He is now an extensive stockraiser. Dr. Joseph Sanders, the vet erinary surgeon, has his head quarters at Pauling's Drug store and will answer all calls. Miss Lark in. of Clem, was a Condon visitor over Sunday. The tract filed on was thought in lx deeded but investigation conducted by Mr. Cotton dis closed the fact that it was not and he filed on it Saturday. The land is situated ten miles from the town of Hood River. See Stephenson's Stock of Stylitli Summer lioe. THE WHEAT CITY. Tho Condon High School wil have its first graduating class in June 1909 when a number o young mon and women will walk out of the portals of the local in stitution. At present there arc seven members in the class four girls and three boys. The class will meet in a week or so, elect officers, select a class motto and class colors and will put on a the airs of a college class. Some Land Bargains. He says that Condon is called the Wheat Citj being the receiving depot foi more wheat direct from the pro ducer than any other town ir the United States. And that Ritzville, Wash., lost that honoi to Condon a year ago when 170t car loads of wheat left Condor for shipment Condon is a towi. of about 800 inhabitants. Tht Dalles Chronicle.
