Bobs May 9, to the wife of E Math ews a daughter. At a meeting of the city council on the 4th the proprietor of the Lone Rock saloon failed to get his license re newed for the reason that the city coun cil as well as the people in general have been convinced for some time that the town does not need a saloon. A large petition signed by the women ot the town and vicinity was presented to the council asking them not to grant a li cense to anyone to sell liqnor in town. The Spanlding Baggy agents have been rustling among oar people this week and several of oar thrifty neighbors are now to be seen riding in new bag gies. Quick Arrest. J. A.
