The worst case of this type was that of ''Boss Tweed, who, with the most refreshing and unconcealed impunity, robbed New York city of untold millions. , When confronted by public opinion, he coolly inquir ed, "What are you going to do a- bout it?" However his Nemesis eventually overtook him, and he died in prison. .
