The money received | through the increased number of licenses issued, as well as the •- normously larger amount of gaso line that would l>e sold, would not only make up for the difference between the present license charge and the three dollar rate, but show a handsome profit. The present pro hibitive license fee will moat cer tainly restrict Oregon's beautiful highway* to a handful of well-to- do people whose handsome cars, of course, add more to the tieauty of the landscape than those the high license will bar. In addition, the usurious rates of interest demanded hy the hanks ami other money lenders should he discussed In many states interest above six per cent is usury ana treated as a crime. Mr. Devane came into the Review office and purchased a pa lter, saying that he wanted to look at the classified advertising. Mr. and Mrs Earl F. Hall were somewhat surprised last Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m., when a group of Mr. Hall’s cousins rolled in from Rogue River, Oregon. They stayed a few hours, and then journeyed on to their uncle’s home in Hills boro. Mr- and Mrs. Hall and daughter Eleanor joined them all, Sunday evening.
