MRS HENRY AWARDED DISTRICT TROPHY All sessions of the Oregon Am erican Legion Auxiliary convention held simultaneously with the Leg- ion convention last week in Kla- math Falls, were attended by Haz- el Henry, district president. idcnl to have earned the trophy. Ethel Hamilton of Malin suc ceeds Mrs. Henry as president for rthe ensuing year. Mrs. Henry brought back the travelling trophy awarded the dis trict president who is first to reach her membership quota in the de partment of Oregon. The Illinois Valley Chorus, at its recent picnic on the Bowerman lawn, discussed the possibility of presenting a light operetta this fall as part of the yearly progrom. Mrs. Anne Leonard heads the •ommittee to see what is available in operettas for a small group. She will be assisted by Alice Bower man, Lois Spencer, Barnette Smith and Ray Proctor. If a suitable one is found. Peg Hubbard will be the dramatic coach, and Joan Pinker ton will be in charge of publicity.
