I Rebekah Leaders Council Meets in Ashland Sunday Marguerite Rebekah Lodge No. Ill met in the IOOF hall, Kerby, April 23, with Alice Vahrenwald, noble grand in the chair. Twelve iast noble grands were present. Delegates elected to attend Grand Lodge at Salem in May wete Carolyn Covington and Virginia Steimer. It was announced thnt leader’s .-ouncil will be in Ashland the first Sunday in May. Virginia Steimer was recommended for district dep uty president for the next year. Frances Racknor and Pearl O. Schmidt visited the meeting. A birthday cake and gifts were □resented to Alice Vahrenwald at the luncheon following the meet-! ing. Next meeting is May 14 when '.he degree team will practice. Carl Holmberg Jr. is leaving for Europe Monday for three years service with the U.S. Airforce. He s in the same group as Bob Ford, a local boy.
