(By Milliceut Davis) The freshm en of I.V.H.S. spon sored a skating party Friday, April 14, at the G rants Pass Roller Drome. T he freshmen sold 63 t ckeits. T heir net profit was $6.10. M<>«t of the students who a tte n d ed the |>arty were grade school pupils although a few high school students were present. W ritten invitations were sent to all m others and other ifuesta. A welcoming committee consist ing of two members from each « lass m et the guests at the gym nasium door. The gue<s were th en escorted to their seats by rsh ers, also representatives of eadh class. Delores Campbell began the program with a welcome speech to l i e mother« and other guests. Her m other, Mrs. W allace, gave the i (sponet. The chorus sang, "AU The Things You A re,” and Mildred Prentice, “ M ather Machree” and “ Ah Sw eet Mystery of Life." Georgia and Joyce Owen played several violin and base viol duets during the te a hour. Missea Phyllis Dick, Jerrin e Masoner and Annabelle Brewer w eie spokesmen for this year s style show which had thirty-seven I gh school models. Several small children modeled also. R efreshm ents consisting of cof fee, Tea and cookies were served from the class tables which were artistically arranged. Four girls assisted at each table. Bus boys were chosen from each class. Refreshm ents were eaten in the lovely surroundings of a rose garden. The style show and e n te r tainm ent was held in an open are« re a r the center, which represented a ball room. The decorations were those used for the Junior-Senior Prom. Corsages were made by a com m ittee o f girls and were pinned on the guests as they entered th e gymnasium Mrs. F erris was in charge of it he music. M rs. Myrtle Kelly was head of refreshm ents and Miss Sella was in charge of tables. Mrs. I.ucile Kelley directed the style show and was general director P « i« O n«) attem pted to bring out details and arguments in favor of his par ticular portion o f the four-point yrogram , all were careful to state th a t they were in complete accord with the bi-county group and in f ull support of the entire pro^rwu.
