Stand-off: Burglary suspect killed Continued from Page 1 at the scene. The trooper has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The previous week, Burns had been arrested and re- leased twice for shoplifting attempts at Fred Meyer and Warrenton MiniMart. She also was cited for resisting ar- rest during the incident at the MiniMart, where she’d taken a bottle of water and a large bottle of hard iced tea. The Clatsop County Sher- iff’s Office asks that anyone with information on Burns or who may have witnessed any of the events call them at 503-325-8635.
