They rallied from 17-25 and 19-25 losses for a 25-18 third- set win. Then they dropped the fourth 13-25 for a match win for the Bulldogs. “It’s always disappointing to lose the last game, especial- ly after having beaten them twice in the regular season,” Coach Staci Miethe said. “But it’s really hard to beat a good team three times.” The game was strictly a seeding for the state play- offs. Hordie Bodden Bodden had three rushing touch- downs alongside Devin Jackson’s two. “Our line was outstand- ing,” Coach Ian O’Brien said. “They blocked well, allowing the running backs to take advantage and score. Noah Miller was solid on limited carries. And Kenzie Ramsey is in a league of her own as a kick- er.” Warrenton hosts Nestuc- ca on Friday, Nov. 1, finish- ing off the team’s regular season. Acting troupe sets auction Nov. 9 Astor Street Opry Compa- ny’s sixth annual fundrais- er, which includes a silent and live auction, is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the playhouse, 129 W. Bond St., Astoria. There will be a reader’s theater presentation written by ChrisLynn Taylor, Scan- dinavian desserts by Table 360. All proceeds go to keep the Astor Street Opry Company ‘s doors open and the lights on, the group says.
