Gil Gramson, former mayor and city manager, wants the city to extend the sidewalk on Main Avenue all the way to the high school. “Our purpose here is to see if we can’t get the nuisance problems taken care of,” said Norm Hoxsey, who was sit- ting with his wife, Brenda. Cal Lambert wants an effort toward expanding clean man- ufacturing. Vibrant cities have a cas- cading effect, said Robbie Porter, vice principal of War- renton Grade School. “If you improve the community, you’ll improve our schools.” The priorities for Warren- ton include: • Make downtown more livable and attractive to busi- nesses and residents. • Elevate Warrenton’s po- tential as a place for beautiful scenery and nature. • Build a desirable and mar- ket-ready workforce with pathways for success. • Address nuisance proper- ties • Rebrand the image of city government and staff.
