8 Tickets for ‘Shanghaied’ on sale now The 34th season of “Shang- haied in Astoria” kicks off in July and Astor Street Opry Company has begun selling tickets. Final days for ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ Soup affair boosts The Harbor’s work The 15th annual Soup Bowl celebration to support The Harbor, a domestic violence shelter and assistance orga- nization, will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at The Loft in the Red Building, 20 Basin St., Astoria. Tickets are $40, with pro- ceeds benefitting The Harbor. Participants will get a sneak peek into the shelter through a virtual tour. Main Ave. The play is based on a book by Michael Stewart and focuses on a popular rock star who gets drafted into the Army. It includes controlling parents, crazy teenagers, crashing rela- tionships and singing and dancing. Admission is $8 and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Church news Pioneer to have music, art Sunday Warrenton and Seaside high school students will present music and art during a spe- cial service at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 3, at Pioneer Presbyte- rian Church, 33324 Patriot Way, next to Camp Rilea. Hayley Rollins, Seaside art- ist and high school student, will present a talk on “The Creativity of God and His Children” during the service. Rol- lins was re- sponsible for Liljenwall the 2015 declaration of April 14 as Honorary Artists of Or- egon Day by the state legis- lature, and initiated the an- nual Art Day at Seaside High School. Music will be provided by pianist Kaisa Liljenwall, a student at Warrenton High School.
