January 19, 2018 Jobs: Nearly 15,000 jobs were added statewide Continued from Page 1 During the past year, total nonfarm payroll employ- ment grew by 48,400 jobs, or 2.6 percent. This is near the rate of growth experienced throughout 2016 and well into mid-2017, according to the state. While the jobs reports in late 2017, which covered the August through November data, were indicating a slow- down in Oregon’s economic expansion, the strong jobs reading in December reflects a return to robust growth. Over the most recent 12 months, gains were most rap- id in construction, followed by leisure/hospitality, and private educational services. Several major industries ex- panded by 3 percent or more: health care and social assis- tance, financial activities and professional/business ser- vices. Only two industries, gov- ernment and wholesale trade, experienced little to no growth during the past year. TOPS seeks new group members TOPS Take Off Pounds Sen- sibly seeks new members. Beck, OSB #861494, Attorney for Personal Representative 900 SW 5th Ave., Ste. 2000 Portland, OR 97204 The estimated impact of carrying out the Warrenton Urban Renewal Plan on the tax collections for the preceding year for all taxing districts is shown in the table below. The impacts on the Warrenton-Hammond School Dis- trict and the Northwest Regional ESD are indirect impacts due to the state school funding formula in Oregon. Schools are funded on a per pupil for- mula established at the state level. These figures differ slightly from the tax increment revenue received figures as they do not represent under-collec- tion, late payments, or delinquencies.
