THURSDAY, NOV. 29 SATURDAY, DEC. 8 Budgeting and credit repair workshop Timber Truckers Light Parade • 6-7 p.m., Grant County Extension classroom The free financial workshop teaches how and why to build a personal budget and how to use a “credit repair toolbox.” For more information, call 541-575-1911. • 6 p.m., downtown John Day The parade theme this year is “Tis the Night Before Christ- mas.” The entry fee is $10. MONDAY, DEC. 3 FRIDAY, DEC. 7 Holiday bazaar Senior advisory council semi-annual meeting • 11 a.m., John Day Senior Center Grant County Senior Citizens Advisory Council will host its semi-annual meeting to introduce new members of the council appointed by the Grant County Court, review current bylaws • 7 p.m., John Day United Methodist Church The Grant County Youth Arts Program and the Juniper Arts Council will present the fall 2018 YAP concert including three choirs, an orchestra, choir chimes, two guitar classes and mul- tiple soloists performing music from the World War I era. A dessert reception provided by the church will follow. Admis- sion is free. Donations are welcome. Photographs from World War I will be available for viewing before and after the concert.
