ROUNDUP Continued from Page B1 “It was a good match for us to be able to get varsity and junior varsity players in,” said Tiger head caoch Tiffnie Schmadeka. “The girls did a good job keep- ing the tempo of the game up, and they served really well.” Crane posed a tougher chal- lenge on Saturday when the Tigers hosted the Mustangs in Monument. Crane won 3-0 with scores of 25-8, 25-15 and 25-9. “The girls played well ver- sus Crane,” Schmadeka said. “We had a lot of opportunities to work on our blocking and hitting around a block. This was good experience for our team, and we look forward to continue to work on these two things for the district tournament.” Schmadeka said her team is young and playing at the tour- nament will be a good learning opportunity. “Our goal is to play our hardest, not give up, and to have fun,” she said. Monument/Dayville’s ju- nior varsity team also hosted Long Creek/Ukiah Saturday, the Tigers winning 2-0 with scores of 25-4 and 25-12.
