FRIDAY, JUNE 26 Cycling Classic visits Prairie City • 12:30-5:30 p.m., from Sumpter to Prairie City Spectators can watch bicycle racers in action as Baker City Cycling Classic participants race from Highway 7 at Sumpter to Highway 26 at Austin Junction on to Prairie City, then back again over the same highways. Motorists can expect delays during the race. The race continues the next day in Baker City and Sunday through Medical Springs, Union and North Pow- der. Mark Witty’s China visit chat • 7 p.m., Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, John Day Grant School District No. 3 Superintendent Mark Witty will share details of his trip to China last spring. He completed a 10- day administrative job shadow exchange in March to Shiquan in Shaanxi Province. Information about a new exchange program with students from China visiting Grant Union Junior-Senior High School will also be explained. There will be a slideshow and refreshments. All are invited.
