Things started out quietly enough at Marshall Field as the Eagles squeezed by Lelco by a scanty 3-1 margin behind the no hit pitching of Steve Bjorvic. Over at Juniper Field, tilings were a little wilder but still within reason as Snoop fc Schulze outlasted Healy's for a 13-11 victory. But it was over on Harmon Field that things really got out of hand as the Brandis little lea guers rode tall in the saddle to completely trounce Dairy Queen by an amazing 34-3 score. Twenty-two walks and 23 hits including seven doubles proved Dairy Queen's undoing. Dave Fuqua led the Brandis hitting barrage with 5 hits in six official trip to the plate. Fuqua was also credited with a "save" of sorts as he relieved winning pitcher Ron Storey in the third inning. Healy's put together two giant scoring innings in their contest with Shoop and Schulze but it wasn't enough to keep up with the Shoopmen, who tallied at least once in every inning. Left fielder Dalrympie led the winner's attack with three hits in tour trips to the plate. Ivy and Kremers tied for hitting hon ors for the losers, each getting two hits. Steve Bjorvic tossed a neat no hitter to lead the Eagles to their 3-1 victory over Lelco. Lelco scor ed their only run on an error in the third inning.
