1 11 ■ A t Powers amusing games, among which was A *, Gaylord Women's Club Entertains The Gaylord Women’« club was hostess to the Powers' Women’s club on Wednesday, Oct. 13th, with a one o’clock luncheon. The little rustic club house was beautifully decorated with autumn flowers and Hallowe’en decorations car ried out the autumn idea on the tables. Mrs. Effie Morgan, president of the Gaylord club, called the meet ing to order and introduced Mrs. W. C. Thorp, president at the Pow ers club, who gave an interesting report on the national convention which was held in Portland in May, and Mrs. Allan King, Sr., who gave a report on the state convention which was held in North Bend in August. Mrs. Mary Bones had charge of the enter tainment and presented several MURDEROUS F IS H T R A P S a radio program, “Truth and Con- sequences," with Mrs. Fern Hayes as master of ceremonies. Those present and enjoying Gay lord’s hospitality were Mrs. W. C. Thorp, Mrs. A. Burch, Mrs. Carl Briggs, Mrs. Kenneth McKenzie. M r s . William Richards, M r s . His son, Wayne, and family who have been caring for his truck garden during his absence left for Monmouth, Ore gon, where Wayne will enter the Teachers’ college. ' They have disposed of their business in Eureka and are on a vacation tour which will take them back to New York, Wash ington, D. C., and some of the southern states.
