His operator’s ¡cense was suspended for one year. Raymond Dysert Buell, paid... $3.00 fine and costs on August 14, for hav ing no m uffler. Donald Allen Knight was also arrested on August 14 for having no m uffler. He has not yet appeared. « Douglas Olnay Reisdorf, Coquille, was released from the county ja il on $150.00 bail on August .15, having been charged with reckless driving. Upon appearance he pleaded guilty to Justice Bull and was fined 325.00 and costs and confined to the county ja il for five days. On August 15, a warrant of arrest was issued for A. S. Jewett, who had been charged with obtaining money by false pretenses. On the same day a warrant of arrest was issued for Arthur Lelshell for obtaining money by false pretenses. Glen F. Riddle, Coquille, paid $5.00 fine and costs on August 15, for having no vehicle license on his trailer. On August 15, Cecil A. Gilbert, M yrtle Point, and Adrian L. Land ers, Coquille, were arrested for hav ing an overload. They have not yet appeared before Justice Bull. W illiam Edgar Evans, M yrtle Point, has not yet appeared after being ar rested on August 15 for having an overwidth load. Lloyd Armohd - M iller paid $3.00 fine and costs on August 15, for hav ing no m uffler on his car. Sarah Jane Stevenson, Powers, was arrested and put in county jail on August 17, for being drunk on a public highway. Bail of $25.00 was posted and whBi the defendant ap peared before Justice Bull and plead ed , guilty the bail was forfeited for fine and costs. Thomas M artin Heyman, Coquille, paid $10.00 fine and costs on August 18 for passing with insufficient clear ance. Marion Wesley Malmberg. Camas Valley, paid $5.00 fine and costs on August 18 for having an overload. Harvey Frank Hibbert, Coos Bay, paid $25.00 fine and costs on August 19 for having qo overlength load. He also paid $25 00 fine and costs for driving while license was suspended. A ten-day sentence in county jail was suspended, but it was recome- Held on bail set at $1500.00 is Charles Walter Bartle who was sent on August 15 to the county ja il by the Coos Bay justice court. Bartle is charged with knowingly uttering and publishing a forged bank check. Douglas JO. Reisdorf ,is serving a five day sentence on a charge of reckless driving. B. Ortman, chairman of the Council’s residential construction committee. Pointing out that the comforts and conveniences of urban living are now available to farm families, Ortman said that new rural homes w ill in corporate such features as central heating, tiled bathrooms and modern kitchen facilities. Availability of electricity in rural areas o f Otegon u making possible the incorporation in new homes of many labor-saving and comfort-pro viding devices undreamed of a gen eration ago, according to Ortman.
