_ MYRTLE POINT ITEMS At Pioneer Church Sunday St. J Next Sunday is Baccalaureate Sun day at Pioneer Church. The evening service will be given over to a union service with all of the churches co operating, at which time Rev. George R. Turney will deliver the Baccalau reate sermon to the graduates of Co quille high school. His sermon topic will be, “Appreciation." The Choral Club will sing two numbers, and Mr. Bobbie Burns will preside at the organ and Mrs. M. O. Hawkins at the piano.' The morning services at eleven o’clock will be planned for the grad uates of the Riverton high school, at which time the pastor, Rev. W. Ray mond Wilder, will deliver the Bacca laureate sermon upon the subject, "Desecration or Consecration.” By -quest Mr. Wilder will sing Rud yard Kipling’s "Recessional.” Pi oneer - Church choir will render an ..ppropriate anthem. There will be no Epworth League meeting Sunday flight, but the Sun day school meets at ten o’clock in the morning with its usual program of study. Miss Priscilla Deyoe returned home Thursday evening from Shutter’s Landing, where she had finished a term of school. She will spend the summer vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Deyoe Mr. and Mrs. R. McKarrow and son, Gordon, and Miss Dorothy Lundy visited relatives and friends in Grants Paas Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Greene have moved to Marshfield, where Mr. Greene has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Sturdivant have rented their home here in Myrtle Point. Robert Steele left the first of the week for his home in Santa Paula, California, after a week’s visit at the home of hto mother, Mrs. Cora Steele. Rebekah lodge held a short busi ness meeting on Monday evening. Parts of the drill work were prac ticed and plans made for the anniver sary home coming May 24. Mrs. Robert McKarrow, Mrs. Lee Brown and Mrs. Alda Lemon were Marshfield visitors Thursday.
