ARAGO Floyd Fredenberg returned from southern Washington where he went to settle the estate of his brothr, Ed, who was killed there in a logging ac cident in December. Powers led 11 to 10 at the end Of the half and in the third quarter pulled away from Arago with a score of 19 to 13. Arago rallied and at the end of that quarter the score stood 20 to 20. Arago scored nine points to Powers' three in the last quarter and the game ended Arago 29-Powers 23. The line-up for Arago was Francis Barklow cen ter, Charles Webb and George Pauli forwards, Clyde Lillie, Cecil Patrick and Alvin Fredenberg guards. Pat rick played during the first half and Fredenberg during the last. Barklow was high score man with six field goals and four fouls, Webb second with ten points, all field goals, and Pauli made three—one field goal and one foul. The Powers team scored as follows: Sprague six, Jones seven, Utterback seven, Shepherd three. Powers did not play the same team during the entire game but made sev eral substitutions. Both teams were fine on passing the ball but lacked more in throwing baskets. The game lacked nothing from the spectators’ standpoint. Coos River plays Arago here Feb. 21. A group of friends gathered at the home of Mrs. Gordon Fleming on February eleventh for luncheon in honor of her birthday. Minter preached on “Give Me Back My God” Sunday morning. Mrs. Frank Burbank and Mrs. Everett Lafferty sang “Only Trust in Jesus," as a special number. The song was such a lovely one that they are singing it again on Sunday night, February 23, by special re quest. There were 65 in attendance at Sunday school after the church service.
