Stephanie Brown/Contributed Photo Baker’s Karsten Cikanek won the 1,500-meter race on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Ontario. and the purpose was to make sure athletes that are not able to compete in all their events on Fridays, due to the meet being a limited entry meet, had an opportunity. Then we also decided to make it a practice meet for many of the varsity athletes to just mix things up and run different events to train for their main events. Although stressful for some to go outside the box, they did awesome and had a lot of fun.” Cole said Ramos “had an incredible meet,” setting a personal record with her 5-foot leap in the high jump. Ramos also had personal re- cords in the 200 and javelin, and a season best throw in the shot put.
