It is a great courtesy to our instructors to sign up for classes in a timely manner. Many courses require a great deal of preparation before the class takes place. If the minimum number of students is not reached, instructors often have to cancel classes. This disappoints both the instructor and anyone that has signed up for the class. Remember you can sign up for classes through our website www.crossroads-arts.org, call us at 541-523-5369, or stop by the center between 10:00am–5:00pm, Monday –Saturday. Crossroads started the Hand to Heart Scholarship fund in the late 1980’s to make sure people of all ages could access our programs regardless of their fi nancial situation. It has been a bedrock of our organization ever since. If you see a class you would like to take and you cannot afford to do so, go to our website at www.crossroads-arts.org or stop by Crossroads and pickup a Scholarship Form. We invite you to assist with costs of the class as best you are able. Some can pay a small amount towards the class, others donate time to volunteer at Crossroads - we honor everyone’s dignity. We have multiple fundraisers a year to make sure we have plenty of funds in our Scholarship account. Donations are always welcome! x Cover Artwork by Megan McGuinness Mary Burns Tomlinson - Director, Contracts and Compliance, Chaves Consulting, Inc photo not available John Rademacher, Supervisory Natural Resource Specialist, BLM Thank You With thanks to the DE and Jane Clark Fund of Oregon Community Foundation and the US BANK FOUNDATION we will make this quarterly class schedule available to Everyone in Baker City! x Crossroads Carnegie Art Center Staff Ginger Savage, Executive Director Cherie Ward, Education Coordinator Crystal Rainwater, Community Art Director Karen Owen, Membership and Shopkeeper Stan Smith, Maintenance Jana Simpson, Bookkeeper The mission of the Crossroads Carnegie Art Center, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profi t founded in 1963, is to create opportunities for the entire community to be engaged, inspired, and transformed by the arts through participation in classes, workshops, exhibits, mentorships, and partnerships – A welcoming place where people meet and the arts speak.
