Final prices are not fixed, but will be left to the ex perts who will be sent out by the. federal trade commission. This com mission will take into consideration all the factors of cost in each case, otherwise the small canners would be put out of business.' Prospects are that all fishermen taken in the army and navy will soon be released and the Industry restored to its pre-war activity and prosperity. Pending the investigation as to final prices the government will ad vance $7.75 per case for red salmon and $6 flat per case for pink salmon J ints order 18 placed by the sub sistence department of the army but, Inasmuch as all prices are the same for allied and for civilian use in the United States, this means the whole pack will be taken at these prices. Miss Cox was very, successful In her work here, so much so that the Portland school recently employed her to assist In the supervision of similar work there. ; Prior to thig change she had made application to the government tor a position in occupational therapuntlcs, new line of educational work, and now is happy In securing it, realiz ing the greater opportunities for the accomplishment of beneficial results. Though if is not generally known by her friends, it is a fact that when filling out the questionnaire ;. there were five lines of work specified on the blank that Miss Cox could teach "our boys."
