The Invited guests at this meeting of the club were Mrs. Ed. Burke and Grandma Tycer, of Holland, who Is visiting at the home of Mrs. Burke. A very pleasant meeting was had and dainty refreshments were served suitable to the warm weather. ' W. W. Finley and wife, of lily. Klamath county, who were visiting with the Wllllts family, made a hasty trip to: Crescent City last week, go ing over on Thursday and returning on 8aturday. Crescent City is all astir over the result of the recent bond election They now feel as though the future Is opening op big to them. When the harbor Is Improved and the ,C. ft O. C. railroad la built, Crescent City will begin to loom up as coast city. Mr. and Mrs, Plnley, accompanied by Mrs. Wllllts and Miss Tracy 8titb, spent Monday looking over the country about Holland and Takllma and visiting with Mrs. Lewis at the forest reserve. Mrs. Lewis was form erly a neighbor of the Flnleys at Bly, On Wednesday the Flnleys started for home, accompanied by Leland Wllllts. Mr. Denny, of the Oregonlan force, haa been in Kerby since Tuesday, ac companlcd by three other young men who have been busy building a boat for the purpose . of navigating the Illinois and Rogue rivers to the coast at Gold Beach. Tljey are now com pletlng the boat and expect soon to start on their coast ward trip. The ball given last Saturday night for the benefit of the baseball club was sparsely attended. Ben Thurston and son have taken a contract to cut 100 tier of wood for Bert Clute. Grants Pass visitors from this vicinity Tuesday were Mrs. W. Per noll. Mrs. Jas. Grubb, Miss Alice Per noll, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Benedict and Tom Herrlott. John Pernoll motored to Medford Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed McCracken, who have been in San Bernardino, Cal for some time, returned to Grants Pas Saturday. Harry Brown and his sister, Mar garet, were Medford visitors Thurs day.
