The lry Tatting club held Its regu
lar meeting with Mrs, Harry Floyd,
at the Pioneer hotel, on Wednesday
of this week. A large membership
was In attendance. The Invited
guests at this meeting of the club
were Mrs. Ed. Burke and Grandma
Tycer, of Holland, who Is visiting at
the home of Mrs. Burke. A very
pleasant meeting was had and dainty
refreshments were served suitable to
the warm weather. '

with the Wllllts family, made a hasty
trip to: Crescent City last week, go
ing over on Thursday and returning

On Wednesday the Flnleys started

Mr. Denny, of the Oregonlan force,
haa been in Kerby since Tuesday, ac
companlcd by three other young men
who have been busy building a boat
for the purpose . of navigating the
Illinois and Rogue rivers to the coast
at Gold Beach. Tljey are now com
pletlng the boat and expect soon to
start on their coast ward trip.
The ball given last Saturday night
for the benefit of the baseball club
was sparsely attended. The down
pour of rain that evening was prob
ably the cause' of the light attend
ance.
