No organization in the state is more important than this. Yet there is no organization in the state that has been so poorly at tended. This is largely the fault of the publishers themselves. Nearly every state in the Union has a strong, well-attended Press Association working for the good of its members and the state at large. The Press of Oregon compares favorably with that of any other state in the Union. We have as brainy, able, shrewd business men as any. We lack dnly in one thing organization. Organ ization, however, happens to be the most important of all, for there is where the strength of the Press lies. It is time to get together. We have already fool ed away valuable time. Thousands of dollars have been lost to the publishers of Oregon, and the people of the state are kept in ignorance of real and val uablo information concerning tax lists and the laws of the state be cause the publishers of the state have allowed prejudice, envy and petty jealousy to stand in the way of organization. It is time to get together and work for the good of the cause.
