Oreeon. Here is' one in the
Time3 office, that weighs eix and
one-half pounds. It was grown
on the Clyde Beach farm, a mile
east of Corvallis. It is fifteen in
ches long and four inches thick,
not measuring the hump that
widens it to six inches. There
was 17 acres in the field, and the
yield was 4,000 bushels, an aver
age of 232 bushels per acre.
Twelve individual potatoes in the

brainy, able, shrewd business

one thing organization. Organ
ization, however, happens to be
the most important of all, for
there is where the strength of
the Press lies. It is time to get
together. We have already fool
ed away valuable time.
Thousands of dollars have been
lost to the publishers of Oregon,
and the people of the state are
kept in ignorance of real and val
uablo information concerning tax
lists and the laws of the state be

have allowed prejudice, envy and
