Some o f the manual training^
boys are working on material for
school use. tw o of the furnit
ure manufacturers (Chas. Staley
and Ivan Marquis) presented a
type writer table to the office
this week.
The children and parents have
done well their part in gathering
material for the “ Baby Home”
and “ Boys and Girls Aid” of
Portland. Almost a ton of ma
terial was sent o f which a follow
ing is a part: 180 qts. canned
fruit, 3 sacks o f potatoes, 5 box
es o f apples, 30 gal. o f kraut, 2o
glasses o f jelly, several sacks of
pumpkins and squashes. Also
dried fruit, canned goods, and a
large box of good clothing, cloth,
etc. This will surely make some
hearts glad, and we know it has
made many happy to give to the
needy.
