Pringle has been reappointed superintendent of the Hillsboro City Water and Light plant and his salary ra:sed from $60 to $75 per month. Rev. Dr. Watters of Portland, who lormerly had charge of the M. E. church pastorate of this city, was in Forest Grove, Tuesday, meeting old- time parishioners. Chas. D. Anderson will leave Satur day for Marysville, Cal., where he expects to make a three month visit with friends. Marysville is Mr. Ander son’s former home. W. A. Dimmick, well known in this city where he attended college for several years, was recently re-elected recorder at Oregon City by the com mon council of that locality. H. C. Atwell, who attended the District Horticultural meeting held in McMinnville last week,spoke cn the subject "What Thorough Organization Will Do for the Willamette Valley.” James Mann and little daughter of Greenville, were in Forest Grove, Saturday. We trust next Friday even ing will be equally pleasant to those who will visit Verts Hall as some of the children from the public school will give an oratorical contest which promises to be prfofiable to themselves as well as entertaining to those who listen.
