She leaves a father, mother, and three sisters to moum her loss. The twin sister, who was with her at the time of the accident, re ceived no injury. Mrs. Lee in her brave attempt to save the little one from the flames, was severely burned on the hands. Alvis Beimrohr was also burned on the hands in fighting the flames. Mr. and Mrs. Lee are prostrated with grief. The entire com munity moum with the bereaved family. Mrs. Man da Bateman accompanied by her daughters Misses Margaret and Alice, attended the rose show in For est Grove last week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernard have gone to Louis River to visit Mr. and Mrs. Gus Anderson. Mrs. Ida Clapshaw, who has been visiting her brother Richard Ranes, has returned to Portland. Mrs. C. W. Thrapp has retnrned from North Yamhill. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crofh are im proving their place with a new house and out buildings. Will Williams is getting the lumber on the ground for a new bam. Miss Kate Jackson spent Sunday at her home in Forest Grove. Glencoe Mr. James Gray, who has been visit ing with friends and relatives in On- terio, Canada, for the past nine months, has returned. Mr. Gray was glad to get back, and says there is no place like Oregon. C. E. Mays has entered the Burke Sanitarium at Burke, California. Miss Eva Cornelius of Hillsboro, spent Sunday with her sister, Mrs. W. E. Mays. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Connell spent Saturday and Sunday in Portland. Jesse Mays has gone to Junction City to spend two weeks with his mother. M. C. Lincoln and George Pasley returned from Hood River for election. They will return Wednesday.
