Wm Rillinger has an almond tree in his yard that is growing a good crop of nuts this year and is an interesting sight. A person not acquainted with the almond would pronounce it a peach tree so nearly does the green growing nuts resemble green peaches. • A. Baldwin, of Mountaindale, was a welcome visitor at the News office Monday, he having until recently been a resident of Forest Grove, and was the best known real estate dealer in the county for manv years. He retired to his ranch to pass the remainder of his days in rest and quiet. cordially invited. S ec’y. The Walker Orchestra, of which S. A. Walker is leader, is undeniably the best west of Portland and their services are in demand not only at home but in other parts of the state.
