RESTAURANT 517 M a in St. UIESCO SHOES for the Entire Family Base to Portland. Every dog deserves an oppor tunity to become a good citizen. It’s wrong to end a puppy’s ed ucation at house-breaking. Once he has passed that stage, says the Sergeant’s Dog Care Center of Richmond, Va., there is a great deal of pleasure in store for mas ter and dog alike in obedience training. A dog should be tau gh t to come promptly, to walk at your .side, to sit, t6 li e d o w n , to ‘ St ay p u t on command, and to o b e y promptly when told "no.” Obedience training can be un dertaken at home or at a canine obedience club or school. Inquire about the one nearest you. A dog starts his training by qualifying for a "Companion Dog” degree and can go on from there to more advanced work. More important than the degree is the way that obedience training establishes a happier relationship between the dog and the humans with whom he will come in con* tact.
