Velva was formerly a Sandy high school girl. Mrs. Oren Ganger and Mrs. E. F. Bruns, of Sandy, left Sunday night for Medford, to attend the state as sembly of the Rebekahs. Five graduated from Bull Run school this week: Blanche Jadwin, Mary Anita Chiodo, Walter Hane- berg, Stanley Miller and George Odell. The Sandy Lumber Co. is still de livering some of the lumber for the big flume at Bull Run. The Jess Hites had a big dinner Sunday, for Mrs. Hite’s parents and brother from Oregon City. Raymond Watkins is running a band-saw in a veneer plant at St. John and likes his job. CEDAR DALE (Crowded out last week). CEDAR DALE, May 23.—(Spe cial).— Mr. and Mrs. Millard Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Lankins and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Fischer went for a picnic on the Molalla river last Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Phil James and fam ily were guests at the John Paveletz home Sunday. A program, with eats following, was given by the school Wednesday evening. Sidney Gorbett and Eman uel Hill are the eighth graders. Miss Florence Bumgardner, who has been our teacher for two terms, will not teach here next year. Miss Aili Kallui has been given the con tract. Donald, son of Mr. and Mr*. C. Winslow, left on Tuesday for Klam ath Falls, where he will work this summer. Several from here attended the program at Colton Tuesday evening. Mildred Winslow, Zelma Wallace and Anona Beck, from this neighbor hood, all took part in the program.
